#1362499 Stadium updates

Do it for beer at $150-200 for the season. I would probably do it. Hell you can sell it as an add on to the season tickets. It would be wonderful. Especially if they have self serving tabs. Or those bottoms up machines that fill the beer from the bottom up.

hahaha imagine...there would be beer showers after every goal

#1362397 Stadium updates

Know someone that lives in one. Grilling on roof before game and a group of spurs fans were watching their game. I asked if they ever went to RBA.

No.

I do know they did an event at one last week and gave out swag and food. There was a flyer in the elevator advertising it.

IMO, if you live in those buildings - going to a game is 100% on you. The stadium is literally right there.

Yes I went there before a game last year and it was nice. We are finally seeing some progress around the area. The new PATH station, the new buildings, some bars. There is still a big plan for development on the North West side of the arena, and a park on the southwest side. I think the surrounding area goes a long way in getting people to go to games. As opposed to just park - walk to stadium - leave, every single time. Compare the area now from when the Stadium opened in 2010 it is light and day. It is only going to get better.

Surprised that there are actually more updates. Although like others have said, these are not in the tarped off areas anyway.  Will have to wait and see in person.

I've always said - what we really need is some bars right outside the stadium. Obviously the club can't control that though.

Thank you - whoever wrote the "There is No Offseason" article on the main page. It's a shame that the only people who will see it are the die-hards who visit this site. It's amazing how (aside from a 20 second rant by Twellman in a podcast) not one person from MLS or Red Bulls media has called out the team for this offseason. Mind boggling.

I'm honestly in disbelief about this offseason. The team repeatedly said that we knew we needed to get better, we had the cap room, we had the green light from ownership to spend, that that we would.

And then we didn't....

Hahahah no shot it's included with STH. That would defeat the entire purpose of the tournament.

Soooo all the people that were saying "calm down, lets be patient - we never sign anyone until the end of the window", have you finally accepted that this was a total disaster of an offseason? Or you still holding out hope?

#1361395 Bob Galerstein

What a shame. He was great.

The "Welcome To Red. Bull. Arena." was iconic. Loved when he would announce the goals too. "Thierry...." (whole crowd yells HENRY)

If you are going to fire someone who has been with the organization for such a long time, it BETTER be for a good reason. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there is any reason.

If he actually does read MF, he should know that everyone enjoyed him, and hopefully he stays a fan of the team.

Some laughable quotes in here, given what as transpired in the past few months.

"Hamlett said the choice to part ways with Bradley Wright-Phillips and Luis Robles, among others, led the organization to put the leadership of the team in different hands, like Ryan Meara, Kemar Lawrence and Aaron Long."

Aaron Long: Yes

Ryan Meara: Uh, our backup keeper? OK..

Kemar Lawrence: Sold...

Moving forward, Hamlett said the team has money to spend and know they have to add players to strengthen the team all across the pitch.

“We have set up ourselves with our budget that we are in a good position to bring players in to make this team stronger,” Hamlett said

Oh, really? How's that going?

If he were better, he would be gone.

Dax was better and we kept him through his prime years.

#1361010 New 2020 RBNY Jersey - Black

Posted by rhactl7 on 07 February 2020 - 10:08 AM

Red Bull has recognized New York's history/roots WAY more than any of its other teams combined. And it's not even close.

If you want to complain about the execution, that's one thing. But they are clearly making an effort. We could easily still have the same cookie cutter Red Bull white home and navy away look. But they are trying to give us something unique.

Opening the SW would be ridiculous.

Ideally, i would hope Red Bull only sell the seats on the same side as the TV. Make it look as embarrassing as possible lol.

Sooo.....is this where we talk about Plastic City FC using RBA for their CCL match?

- I sure hope this was league mandated and was something that was forced upon us. No reason for us to ever offer them anything.

- The entire South Ward better be off limits.

- There better be no NYCFC logos, banners, or anything hung up at the arena

This sucks, and we should not be happy about it. We should all email our ticket reps and make sure this is the last time this ever happens. BUT, it is WAY more embarrassing for Plastic City IMO. Rivals have shared stadiums all around the world at some point. But for them to build up their entire identity on NOT playing in New Jersey, and then being forced to play there anyway...man, I can't imagine being a fan of that team.
