We need to intimidate him, can't let ourselves be bullied. If that means a going through him and taking a yellow for the team then so be it.

Better to not wake a sleeping bear in my opinion.  Besides, Long is always going to get out-muscled by him.  Maybe Parker can hold up physically but Zlatan is a big, legitimately tough guy.

Sooo... Zlatan entered an opponent's locker room without being granted team permission. That would result in a suspension of any other MLS player that doesnt have "Manchester United" on their resume.

Sadly, I would guess that MdG would push for the league to not suspend Zlatan despite the fact that he will probably score a few against us, simply for the marketing element.

true.  should be fined

We need him on the pitch for bragging rights when we shut them out!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Zlatan is a douchenozzle, but whatever he does, the MLS front office will have his back. Don't pick fights with him, just press him hard and ignore whatever BS antics he brings. The good news is his monstrous ego will self detonate if he's struggling.

No link? I was not aware of this.

Lineup in the play the 5221/3331 they had last week....

Is BWP healthy... It's well into the regular season i don't expect anyone to be 100% now but if he's above 85% he should at the least come on for the last 25...

Start Jorgensen... Omir looked good and I say start Muyl again in the back and bring on Murillo again at the end and only bring on taxi if NYRB are up....
I just want Metro to win a title sometime in my lifetime.

Ill always pay attention, but those rumors are one of the few things that excited me so far this season.

Just delaying the inevitable, this teams play has slipped since CA took over

Teams have been beating us with counter and the long ball. Zlatan's specialty. We have proven we don't know how to answer that. Hate to say it, but I think Zlatan scores 4 and we lose 6-1.
Since BWP scores during regular season nationally televised games, he will get our lone goal.

Nothing new about the Bunker & Counter strategy.
The problem is that it is succeeding more.
The team can no longer maintain possession.
Even if a turnover is created, whether from the press or otherwise, the inability to string together a few passes reduces meaningful attacks and creates further vulnerability to more counterattacks.
The back line was a major strength. No longer.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

My Ticket rep contacted me today asking if I wanted tickets to thus game...as it almost sold-out.  Tell me again how a bigname player doesn't effect attendance.

Coming to see Zlatan and the Galaxy every 2 years is different from having a Zlatan-like player at home every other week.

But yeah, it'd be nice if we signed someone anyone had actually heard of every so often.

If it was that close to selling out they would take some of the tarps off and sell those sections as well, hasn't happened yet by looking at ticketmaster.

Also I'm sure 80% of people at the game aren't going to be Red Bull fans. It's gonna be a weird crowd.
