#1343181 Adams at RB for USA

he idea that moving Adams to right back hinders him in some way is wrong (at least philosophically). It’s the opposite; it provides him the most freedom to impact the game in the most ways. If the defensive midfielder needs help in possession, Adams can move inside next to him; if the wing needs an option to create a numerical advantage, Adams can split wide; if there’s a cross coming into the box, Adams can make a late run.

Yes, Adams could be used as the controlling player to start the possession. Yes, he could be used higher on the field to play around the box. The hybrid right back spot allows him to do both. Berhalter is trying to unleash Adams, not hinder him.

It might not the be long-term answer, but it’s absolutely worth trying.

Nice write up about omir

also - he just turned 20 last month.  Does that make him to old for U20 or maybe he can be a possibility for U 23.

The CCL admission and now, home field advantage, are the only things to be excited by when winning a SS.

Those with a European background understand that there is something called a balanced schedule. We do not have that here. That's a HUGE difference.

We keep celebrating the SS like it's this massive achievement (it's an achievement, of course) and we keep letting the club off the hook for not adding a 3rd DP or for their moneyball approach

i kinda like seeing lots of wins when i'm at the stadium.  at least i get some enjoyment during they year between the cup failures :-)

as much as I was thinking we should get a DP3 Omir and Valot and quite good in that right wing role and bring something different from Myul who helped us win the SS.  Good luck for us we have all 3!

  saw Doyle post rMLS thread

89% Mexican team goals come in last 22 minutes of match. fitness a factor along with all of the above

On the upside

- Omir and Valot (who we know from last year) look quality

- I want to see more of Jorgensen.

- although I am not blaming Lade I sure would like to see Duncan continue to be developed for both sides.

Cant make a pass should have been RzA and the 1 attacker . Way to much emphasis on offense when we had hard time passing

85 degrees during game did not help our stamina

Already seen one ATL jersey getting burned to protest de Boer.  God new MLS fans are the best.

lol - I hope DeBoer Ben olsens it.  Decade of mediocrity would be excellent> Just good enough and flashes to keep the job.

MLS is just at a disadvantage when it comes to the timing of all of this.  Teams are just starting and passing is far from sharp.  If the competition was just one month later...

2-3 more weeks would be very helpful.

Timing should be mid Feb Mar Apr May

allowing for Liga Mx dates and international dates.

#1342239 Should BWP get statue on entrance to RBA?

Posted by Metrohoboken on 06 March 2019 - 02:51 PM

I didn't realize how good Orozco's saves on BWP and Royer were while watching at the stadium.

That second goal was just embarrassing.

embarrasingly amazing.  that messi level creativity.  We got beat by 2 top notch goals.

on the other end 2 first rate misses and a few amazing saves by Santos goalie.

Still need to be much better in attack next week.  new wingers please.
