The 5-0 win v. Toronto to close out the season was one of the funniest games I've ever watched.

TFC fans displayed an insulting banner,
and got an ass-kicking in return.

The end of that sums it up perfectly lol...

Good riddance to both."

We have only played 7 games and are 60% of the way to the 2009 win total.  We had three wins in the first 6 games this season.  In 2009 we had 2 wins in the first 22 games.  Anyone who thinks this is worse than 2009 is nuts.

Seriously so bad, even more disappointing that we came off that amazing run to the 08 MLS cup final. I know they pulled a few wins out of their asses to make it to that final but I never expected 09 to be as bad as it turned out.

Hah, I'd forgot about O'Brian White, and the name made me do a double take the first couple times it was said on the broadcast.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

I had forgotten that Amado played 2 years for TFC!
I still remember that our 5-0 win dropped TFC from the playoffs!

Watching this team is like watching the NY Yankees after losing Derek Jeter or the more likely like watching the Mets losing Mike Piazza who lost the subway series. When they lost BWP it was a great blow to the team. The team hasn't come up with someone can score goals consistently as of this writing. Hope springs eternal with our newest signings so I will continue cheer on the team & :pint: & watch the games.

Some remember that Clever Hans never lost after taking a lead.
Ever.

2019 (high expectations)

*I missed the agony of the 2009 season; I stopped following the team when Red Bull took over in 2006 and didn't start again until Henry's first full year in 2011.

Backe played a very slow, methodical possession game, but if we're talking pure entertainment value he had Henry to cover that. To this day Henry is the only Red Bull player I've watched that regularly made me gasp with excitement or just stare in disbelief at a play he made. Kaku has those moments too but they're fewer and farther between.

Even fewer and further now since he sits more than he plays...

"Cynical soccer," but its not a term he made up.
