Looks like you posted in the wrong thread!

It's all the same. Oh well.

Barca stomped Celtic like, well, Celtic stomped Rangers.

Good to see the Old Firm resume after 4 seasons.
There's no Celtic, without Rangers.
And vice versa.

Next up: Barca!  A slightly tougher test.

They played last year in a cup game with Rangers coming out on top.

Rangers were the underdog over the weekend. I didn't expect much. It wasn't the same as the Barca game where Celtic had no possession. Rangers also scored. But, it was a crap game.

A cup game is not a league game.  You know that.  With Rangers in the lower divisions, the only matchups would have been in the Scottish League Cup & the Scottish Cup, instead of 4 annual Old Firm matches, and battling to be champions.   Rangers prevailing on PKs at a neutral site in a semi-final is not Ibrox or Celtic Park.  Especially when Hibs won the final.

I also didn't expect much from Rangers.  So far, a 2-3-1 start is disappointing.

But, this is supposed to be a thread about Celtic!

Old Firm fans will not have to wait long for the next fixture.

Celtic & Rangers will now meet in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup on October 22nd.

Celtic are now 19 points clear with a game in hand.
Rangers have 39 points from 21 games. Running the table with 17 Ws would give them 80.
Already on 58, Celtic only need 21, or 7 wins in 18, after winning 19 of 20 so far, to clinch the Scottish Prem.

Celtic defeat Rangers in the Scottish Cup semis, will face Aberdeen in the final.
Victory will give Celtic a domestic treble, as it has already won the Scottish League Cup, beating Aberdeen after defeating Rangers in the semis. The Dons could finish runners-up in all 3 competitions.

So, this season's 6 Old Firm matches are bookended by 5-1 Celtic thrashings of Rangers. 37-year-old Kenny Miller was the only bright spot for 'Gers, scoring their lone goal.

Considering his age, pensioner.
Still, Rangers POTY, IMO, and their only standout in the Old Firm matches this season.

Kenny Miller was re-signed. It really is sad that he's their best player...

Oh well, a new off season and we'll see what happens. I don't expect much due to the financial differences but whatever. We'll see!
