Vernon comparison is a good one. The good thing about Veron was his attitude; he was always trying even when things were not going well. As long as Klimala keeps a good attitude as is not disruptive, I think it could be OK. Could certainly upgrade after his contract ends.

is it a good one Veron best season he had 7 goals 4 assists in all competitions and 30+ games. Klimala had 8 goals 5 assists in 26 games. In his first season hes already out performed the best we ever got from Veron

Its not, but thats because Klimala has already played 1851 minutes this season. In the year Veron had 7 goals, he only played 897 across the reg season & playoffs. So Veron almost matched Klimalas production in less than half the minutes.

he played wing and forward. if those stats include Open cup games, he definitely played forward.

Has anyone asked Klimala what happened?

I doubt the answer would be anything but "of course I meant to pass it" no matter what happened. Doesn't particularly matter in any case, a win is a win.

Only guy I ever saw admit to something like that was Lloyd Sam. He joined Seeing Red after scoring on a cross and said something like "Ahhh yeah I don't know I just figure it was a good spot to put the ball, usually good things happen"

My recollection is that he was used almost exclusively as a backup striker to BWP that season, hence the lack of overall minutes. He never clicked on the wing despite having the skill set on paper for it.

Yep. Jesse liked Muyl-type guys on the wing. Veron, Etienne, & Gulbrandsen all had games that could play in the wing for a lot coaches, Marsch wanted more of a two-way player there. So all those guys got limited playing time because they were stuck behind a legend in BWP.

Having learned his English in Glasgow, the reply might be along the lines of "Argh, yer fookin' bollix! "

This was a header attempt on gal about as inept as he did in the first half, which he should have put away but badly missed.

This time thankfully he was at least able to get his head on the ball. Brutal brutal game for Patrick.

Btw, on the above video, go to 4:53, pause it exactly where Klimala contacts the ball and look at the feet of the GK. They are not over the goal line as he moved slightly earlier. No retake? I remember the other day Coronel had the book thrown at him for moving earlier.

He is looking at Nealis while heading the ball that way.
At that moment, there does not seem to be any chance that Nealis would get to the ball, but he does.

Dont u have to have one part of the foot on the line. From my phone it looks like the back of his heel on one foot is touching

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
