Sebastián Sosa Sánchez, 6 ft tall, 27yo Uruguayan striker being looked at. Possibly as cover if Fabio doesn't stay?

I would imagine they want another striker even if Fabio does stay. Have to think Royer is on the outs. Barlow can't score. They're not using Sowe right now.

Way, way too old for us.  But he does look comfortable playing in an empty stadium.

Doesnt move the needle for 2022. Really only makes sense if its a Royer or Fabio replacement.

Yeah, at 27, it seems very unlikely.

This is what I think as well. Definitely would take up Barlow's #3 spot, with Sowe as 4.

With an international clear out, the int'l players could be...

Coronel

Monzon

Reyes

Edwards

Carmona

Yearwood

Klimala

As many as 7 players not returning or remaining out on loan. Plenty of room to make additions.

Im iffy about using multiple international slots on backup or 3rd options.

Royer being gone seems like a formality unless his Austrian-ness saves him in the eyes of Struber.

Think there are bigger problems to solve in the attack with chance creation. Not so much chance conversion.

He does play at a higher level than Fabio ever did, so I guess I wouldnt hate it if it was a 1 for 1 swap.

If its a 1 for 1 swap for Fabio, go for it......but the priority should be that unicorn #10 that fits the system and wingers that can create chances in offense.

I think that the 10 in this system is whoever among Amaya Harper Omir and Carmona wins the spot.

No way. Fabio is only 24 and could get better.

Sanchez didnt do much in all of his stops and is entering his prime. He is not going to improve. He is what he is. That swap would be a be downgrade

TBF, Sanchez hasn't yet had the opportunity to benefit from the masterful mentorship of offensive mastermind Hans Struber.

i wouldnt mind having an experienced guy added to the mix even if its at the expense of Fabio.  We dont know what Fabios option price is to know if getting this guy is a worse alternative.  all things being equal id keep fabio but swapping them wouldnt bother me

Anyone know how the quality of the Uruguayan league compare to MLS?
