They should just put SWP and BWP on the back. Would be cool.

Not only that!   11 fewer characters (not including the hyphen :) ) on the back of the jersey means huge savings for Red Bull!

1. has been her for like a month (good sign that he gets along w everyone)  +

2. non-DP deal

=

A deal that is hard to criticize.     Also he should be reasonably fit from training (right)?  and should not take as long to integrate as would otherwise be the case....

i do not agree that D. Mates.  is worthy of the 'worst owner' title.  It could be far, far worse.

Also, under his ownership the organization hired Mike Petke.

#1234376 CBA question re: allocation and salary cap

Right but clearly 200k in allocation $$ is less valuable if the salary cap is much higher in 2015 vs 2014, right?

#1231635 Good Article from Capital New York

I have no connection with Capital New York but thought this was a good-but also positive- article.  In the spirit of creating more support for such coverage, let's all read it, shall we?

#1226497 RB Wants Out

Posted by dieterhansi on 08 October 2014 - 12:02 PM

Re: stadium cost and value of the franchise, my point was/is that I think the stadium, today, is worth more than the money (all of it, from whatever source) used to build it.

Another way to think about this is to consider what City would be willing to pay for RBA as a standalone asset--today, were it to become available.  IMO they would-and should-- easily pay $300 million .  Consider how hard it is to build a stadium around here.

Re the news earlier: I predict some kind of  RB-Cosmos tie-up.   Depending on what form it takes, I think it could be cool.   Uniforms could look confusing though.

#1186730 Metro - Chicago Game Thread

Posted by dieterhansi on 25 October 2013 - 09:55 AM

This is a true sellout.  only 262 tix on stubhub w minimum price $49.  I have never seen that before, if memory serves there are typically many, many more tix available even for games that end up with a more or less full arena, and at lower prices.

The SKC game to end the regular season last year comes to mind.   The arena was very nearly full, but tix were easy to get.  I dont remember if it was technically sold out or not.

FIRED UP.
