Passing mustard may be my wurst joke yet. Leipzig on the brain.

I saw two games that were lost on the field, not on the chalkboard. No where near time to panic. Dax wakes up, Veron comes back, BWP puts one in and  I suspect the floodgates will open.

This thread has dropped too far. Although I am a mostly lurker here, this is the home of the heart of the team. During the multiple bad times, I turned to this place to find other people that felt what I felt.

During this time of joy, there is no other place I would rather be. Thanks from the bottom of my Metro heart, guys.

I look forward to Dan somehow comparing this victory to fecal matter on SeeingRed! soon.

Son of bitch! Turns out, I WAS there.

The team never gave up. I now know what JCO was writing in the notebook: They should replace me with Petke.

The only thing more I need is for the Red Bull organization to bring back the winning front office, back office and core team next year. Consistency will keep this from being a fluke.

I was there when the Curse was born.

I was there for the penalty kick shoot out with Vermes Legend (McDonalds Scarf Forever!)

I was there when we lost to Chicago for the Open Cup

I was there when Petke told us Revenge is Coming

I was there when Mathis ran 70 Yards for the goal

I was there when Wolyniec one timed it past Columbus

I was there when Lothar wasn't

I was there when it hit 120 degrees on the field on a Wednesday at Giant Stadium

I was there the day they opened OUR stadium

I WILL BE THERE FOR THE SUPPORTER'S SHIELD VICTORY.

" and the coach for the Red Bulls is Mike Petke." smattering of cheers.

NO!

" and coaching the Red Bulls is MIKE F'ING PETKE!!!!!!!" ROAR.

I swear it was just a piece of dust in my eye when the TIFO went up. My voice hardly cracked when I explained what it meant to my 9 year old. This team better bring Mikey the first Metro MLS Cup. Those of us that were there on Opening Day in 1996 have been waiting for something. Let this be it.
