I am realllllly excited to see Bezecourt start this game. Better be wearing the blessed 88.

Curious number to generate such enthusiasm.

It was Luyindula's number. I'm guessing that's where the 'blessed' comes from.

Don't know how I momentarily forgot that... could only think of Gaudette

Doesn't 88 have a special significance? And not a great one?

And it's incredibly topical!

REST EVERYONE.

I'm not willing to risk a not yet 90 minute fit Lade and more importantly Collin starting on turf. I don't care how good said turf is. Lose 6-0 I don't care (Not 7-0 though. That's belongs to us).

Add to that Keita working his way back from injury a whatever is wrong with Taxi and a not 90 minute match fit Duka and this is an absolute nightmare.

Although the front office hasn't announced it, Ndam is on loan to the USL team for the rest of the season and can't be called back (INTL spots are full). Otherwise, I'm fine with this lineup.

Given Chicago's recent dip in form and a 6-pointer against City next week, second place in the East isn't all that far off.  I can see Marsch going with more of a first team lineup in Portland if guys are feeling ok.

If he does play the bench and we're in the game in the 60', I fully expect to see Sacha & BWP.

To hell with 2nd place in the east. We could win the play in game and still win MLS Cup. Rest EVERYONE for this game.

Focus on winning the Cup final we just qualified for.
Rotate players.
Integrate the new guys.
Don't rush guys back from injuries.
Improve the team defending.

Whatever our position is for the playoffs I don't care. Do those things above and not only will we qualify for the playoffs we'll be in a great position to win the damn thing.

The Cup Final isn't for a month, so it has nothing to do with this game. I agree with integrating players, but throwing all the reserves out together for a single match isn't integrating. We also need guys like Duka & Keita on the pitch at the same time as Sachs & BWP, because that will be scenario if they get minutes against SKC on Sept 20 or in the playoffs.

That said, I don't mind at all playing an almost all reserve squad Friday. I just think a lot of the bench also need minutes with regular starters at some point.

Royer's back east, so he's not being risked. I expect some rotation, but not heavy. Veron, Keita, "Haitian Messi", and Fidel are the lone part-time players. Remaining 7 starters have played in a shit ton of games, while starting quite a few.

Meara / Collin Murillo Lade / Sacha Duka / BWP

This

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I'd like to see Murillo in over Zizzo, otherwise looks good...

I'd give Muyl and Felipe some time off too. Both have played 210 minutes in the last 6 days. Lade/Duka in maybe?
