I think Felipe is the only one to actually score directly from a set piece since Henry, right? I'm not sure Kljestan ever even hit the target with his.

Sacha scored against Philly... but it was deflected.

Funny part is we did it a few times in pre-season.  BWP and Fidel are two I can think of.

I want to see a free kick/corner kick goal, Ettiene beat someone 1 v 1 and a Myul hustle to BWP back of the net.  Open to other options as well.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I am down with a Cahill-esque instant goal in this one, followed by a boy city style pantsing where we are up by a substantial margin at half time and don't stop scoring until the game is over.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Pretty sure he's serious, signed up just to say that. He's the least of our current problems.

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

He delivers a great corner and is one of only a few guys that can shoot from distance. Not to mention he does an excellent job of keeping the ball moving and protected.

The only thing Id do in this one is leave Adams as the stay at home CDM to lock down Higuain and let Davis find the game, circulate the ball to our offense and fire from distance.

Wonder, how long did he lurk, before being inspired to join and make this his first post?
Anyway, welcome to MF! Plenty of wors here!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Sunday will be up there as one of the coldest games ever played at RBA. Just like the last playoff game against Columbus at home, cold as fuck.

High 30s really isn't bad if you're in the South Ward where you can jump up and down and it keeps ya warm, I also like the cold though so it doesn't bother me.

No joke here, we need to start Rzatkowski for energy and pace along with Adams. Davis is too slow and has been offering nothing, sideways passes are going to be no good Sunday. Can't play someone for a good corner.

I understand the thought behind it, but it should be more about getting Rza on the field rather than Davis off of it.  Davis is a very good player in that he's strong on the ball and adds a bit more toughness to the interior midfield.

Rza does bring more offensively than Davis.  Davis has a good shot, but that's about it.

It's interesting going through the lineup and trying to figure out ways to infuse more offense.  I've even thought of the likely scenario that we are 0-0 at half.  What do we do then?  Take a 6 off and add another forward?  Or even take a defender off and go 3 in the back?

Our biggest addition of offense is probably going to be Murillo and Taxi getting up field more often.  That being the case, Parker and Long are going to be stuck in some shitty situations and they have to figure out ways to win in those moments.

Gotta take shots though. It's all about getting that half step of space and then just hitting it on goal and hoping a deflection or something goes our way.

Regardless of your opinion on Davis we might want to think about why exactly Rzatkowski never saw the field in the away leg. Ivan came on as the first sub. IVAN. And we only used two subs...
