My girl was on the plane with the English Womens National team down to Texas earlier today. They flew coach. She said they were very nice, quiet and blonde.
I asked her to try and get a kiss from Rachel Daly.....but shes already spoken for.
The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. I had a good time at RBA yesterday.
How was access? Egress?
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I had a good time at RBA yesterday. I also didn't bother trying to buy concessions of any kind, either. The lines all looked terrible.
Beer line was actually pretty quick on sunday. Mostly families with their kids attending probably contributed to that as well.

SB defeated #2 seed Washington on PKs.
3 of 4 top seeds lost in the 1/4-finals.
SB face Chicago (also 1-1-2) in semis.

And lose 3-2. Down 2-0 in 11 minutes, 3-0 in 60.,

Owners (Gov. & Tammy Murphy) lost $1.1 Million on Sky Blue in 2019, $7M since buying it:

That said, even amidst a pandemic, NWSL franchises have never been worth more. And if they decided to sell the club, they could probably recoup those losses and then some. You don't own these teams to turn massive profits, you own them so you can sell them on at double or triple the value.

NWSL franchises have never been worth more.
Seattle was valued at $3.5M when it sold in January.
How much was the franchise fee for Louisville?

IIRC, the Louisville City USL team also owns the NWSL team and the owner said something in the summer about it being around $1M. Can't find the source, but believe it was around when they were announcing the team name and colors.

Louisville City USL team ... owner said ... around $1M.
I have seen $1M & $2M mentioned second-hand.
Have not seen any definitive link.
If Sky Blue are >$7M in the hole, as reported,
I cannot see the Murphys turning a profit on a sale.
If anything, another >$1M loss for 2020.

Can the franchises really be worth more than a few million? Murphy is still going to come out on the bad end of that. The pandemic really couldn't have come at a worse time in my opinion when it comes to these sports that aren't established yet.
He won't if he sets up vending machines that spit out pre-rolled blunts at SkyBlue games. He'll recoup that $$ mad quick, plus attendance might pick up. Concessions certainly will. lol
