Wait! UCLA is on the east coast? When did this happen?Oops, I meant to say the wild arrogance of the FSL fans. My bad. But I have an excuse: it was past midnight east coast time, so I was tired...

I moved summer of 2008. Trying to finagle my way back to SoCal, but it might take 9 months to 5 years.

Houston and Philadelphia has been awesome. In fact all of the playoff games have been awesome.
Playoffs work. This playoff format has problems but playoffs work. Suck it, single table!

The first-to-five point series from the turn of the century is still the best format. Who knows, maybe someday the league will figure that out.Playoffs work. This playoff format has problems but playoffs work. Suck it, single table!
Houston beat Philly again this evening, so Sunday's undercard will be Smurfs l'Orange at KC.

Not even close. NoCal is still close enough to drive home on a whim, and it's still Cali. You can still get decent Mexican food pretty easily.

Whether the Galaxy won the Shield or not, ESPN wanted their conference semifinal first leg on a Sunday. Plus, you couldn't have two matches in the Pacific time zone on the same day, and the Mouse probably wanted us on a Thursday too (a better night for TV ratings and ad sales).Another bonus for the Supporters Shield winner is that their opponent in the WCF gets an extra days rest. Thanks MLS! You guys are sooper schmart.
These playoffs have scattered about at the whims of television, which actually makes us more like successful sports leagues in this country. Get used to it, it's the price of success...
