Speaking of Hot Time in the Old Town, isn't the chorus usually done really slowly and gradually sped up?
"Dave Checketts and SCP Worldwide partners Dean Howes, Kenneth Munoz, Michael McCarthy and Chris Bevilacqua, chose Real Salt Lake for the team's name because they desired to associate the team with a successful soccer club, and "Fire" was already taken."

Dirty Old Town will be sung, please join in.

While we're making our annual pitches....

I still think section 8 could make Blood and Fire sound awesome.

The original version:

The rave up party type version, which is about the tempo we would end up doin:

But definitely Dirty Old Town, it's a must.

Blood and Fire would be tight!
And that video of the original was just a big lion. Chillin'. You can't fade that.

I believe Mazzoni has been raving about this for the past 2 or 3 seasons. Glad it's getting all this attention now.

Eddy Curry's ex-girlfriend was murdered along with her 9 month old child in an apartment just about 10 blocks south of me. Dirty old town.

And I live in the south loop..

I've been asking for Raygun every new season for years now.

Then I no-show all season and thus never actually try to get it started. <_<

Pffft....down the block from me a man killed and stuffed his niece into a suitcase and stashed her in the closet for a few months two years ago.

I love this idea. It has the real potential for added, customized verses, like any good folk song (and as is being shown by people in the thread).

Another year suggesting something that should have happened already. Suzie, Ben, etc: good idea. Just start it up, and get it going. Count me in if I am there.

Let's just start singing this at full time. If people don't join in, they'll learn.

Yes, please!

Also, the chopping down a tree bit makes it excellent for the S8/Timbers Army meet-up in Shittle.

"I met my love, in She-caw-go
Dreamed a dream that we won it all..."

Or we could just go with the original lyrics.
