Saramago also has had a few solid years at Loyola. Not a powerhouse school but he made the best of it. I think he'll make a perfect II signing/lower end HG signing who takes a year to play exclusively in the USL.

Speedy Williams has played in the past four USL Cups, this is his first loss.
Love Speedy. Great guy and great player. Nice to see him getting call-ups for Jamaica too.

Two RBNY academy products score in USL Cup finals while a NYRBII success story captains the other team.

Is he planning to transition into a coaching career?
Did he graduate from St. Johns?
Any idea what he majored in?
A high school Phys Ed teacher gig plus
coaching the soccer team would be nice.
Lade was a 4 year player at St. Johns, so I'd guess he graduated (with a degree in Sports Management). I know the team said something about there always being a spot for him when he wants to come back. I hope he comes back as a II/academy coach or minor front office role. Great guy.
In Topic: Davis' destiny

Anyways, as a whole I think Davis is probably the best HG on the team at the moment but that says more about the team's current HGs than it does Davis. I think he's a solid, slightly above replacement level player. In a system with three center midfielders (6/8/10), I'd love him to be the third or fourth on the depth chart. Problem this year is he was essentially expected to be #1/2 with Rza's injuries and inconsistency, Armas being slow to bring CCJ and Kaku's transfer saga. He's not good enough for that.
