Atrocious foul by Hamid. Absolutely the right call. D.C.'s defense took the day off after that. Too bad we couldn't take advantage and jump them in the standings.
Which was why I left the arena depressed after the match. I knew Houston was going to eat the scum's lunch. Dynamo is doing quite well at home, and we have a date there pretty soon.

We did make up one point. And while I'm not usually a "glass half full" kind of person, the first half of DC's season had a lot of games against bottom-half opponents. Assuming we can take on average about five out of every nine points, we should be solidly ahead of them in the standings by September.

Nice to see Mendes play well tonight.
The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. They just lost to Columbus. Columbus!
Revs playing SKC to a 0-0 draw thru 76' in KC.....this would be the cherry on top tonight.

Of course, KC is now in first, but any day DC loses is a good day.

Bears repeating.any day DC loses is a good day.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Sucks that he's hurt but couldn't happen to a better team. Too bad this didn't happen to Ben Olsen.Their own players are suing them:

These athlete lawsuits are becoming a regular these days. With the crazy expensives of treatment, one suing the team / organization where they got hurt will become normal.
Saw a thing on SportsCenter this morning about a kid getting paralyzed making a hit in a high school football game. Over $2 million in medical bills and parent's insurance only covers 80%. Do the math... Kid is blaming his coaches for "teaching" him how to tackle.
"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams
