Don't you forget where you are? Forgetting quickly is what we do!
And if we didn't, none of us would be here now.

How quickly people forget how Cahill pulled us thru last year.
That doesn't give him a free pass for this year.

Cahill should be benched in favor of Luyindula for a game or two. While Cahill has the potential to get hot (he has been close to getting goals lately), his 2014 form is terrible compared to his 2013 form which was impeccable.
Check out the points per minute (2 points for a goal and 1 for an assist) for both Cahil and Luyindula over the two seasons over all competitions.
Here's the full list of midfielders and forwards over the last two seasons if anyone is interested. It only includes guys mids and forwards with at least 400 minutes of play.
The results are mostly expected (ie. defensive players have lower PPMs, forwards naturally will have a higher PPM). This isn't the best stat but it's indicative enough.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

He did, but if you're a DP attacking player in this league you have to be banging in goals and Cahill isn't doing that.

It's actually surprising Sam doesn't have more assists.

all joking aside thanks for the info. For data presentation sake times everything by 100 and delete anything after the .1 columns. i.e 2013 Chaill becomes 2.1 and 2014 becomes 0.3. 1/7 as productive on a points basis.
The point stats back up that Dax and Tim have not been good this year. Also, Tim is below 2013 Eric Alexander - Yikes! (Mouth of Sauron - not saying he is bad just that people percieve him to not be the best

bad luck. BWP isn't finishing most of Sam's perfect crosses, Cahill is nowhere near the box most of the time, and Henry is not (traditionally) the headed goal type (and yes, I know, he recently scored a diving header). He should have double digit assists.
Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

data is misleading since it does not consider passing attempts and passes completed. It also does not consider headers attempt and headers won. And tackles made and tackles won.
this data is very important if you want to look at the production of a midfielder.

I still think he's playing well, just in a bit of a slump when connecting the final pass I guess. He had 5 assist through the first 11 games, and only 2 in the next 14.
