A Prem title and an FA Cup not enough to save Conte.

Roman Abramovich gives no fucks. hasn't for a long time. You win right goddamn now or you're gone. You miss Champions League, you're really gone.

There's definitely a pattern there, but it doesn't seem to be working super well for them. In a league where at least 2 other teams spend as much as Chelsea or more, and there's additional strong competition, they are bound to have off years (especially if you define "off" as not winning a league or a CL title). Firing at the first relative failure strips them off of any managerial continuity and ultimately does not help in the long run.Roman Abramovich gives no fucks. hasn't for a long time. Maybe, maybe not. They've won champions league once, 5 league titles, and 5 FA cups under Roman. That's not too shabby given how competitive the Prem is. Everyone just needs to go in eyes wide open that there's no such thing as loyalty to management.

Sure, if you're just counting trophies, they've done pretty well. But, if you go a little deeper, more than half of those trophies were with Mourinho and/or (the remnants of) a Mourinho-built squad. Which is all the more reason to stick with managers - imagine how much they might have won with a bit more stability and if Jose had stayed there all along.
Don't forget that they lucked into the Champions' League by winning on penalties under an interim manager who was fired 6 months later, hardly the definition of managerial-driven success. If anything, this just shows how relatively little importance managers have - I've always thought that majority of the reason for success ultimately lies with the players (with some notable exceptions like Sir Alex, Mou, Guardiola, of course).
No one really cares about FA Cups. Also see Arsenal's several recent wins there, counting for nothing towards Arsene's run there.
