If we dump Armas, and I hope we do, Id rather we dont sell low on Kaku and Murillo. Give those guys the opportunity to find their form again under a new coach. That being said, Id still like reinforcements to be brought in to hedge our bets and give us coverage.Dump:

I think it could be worse.
For a variety of reasons, e.g., wanting a move to a bigger team, age, underperforming, injury prone, loss of step(s)...possible on the way out:
Robles
Long Murillo Lade
Kaku Sims Rza Beze Etienne Epps
BWP Jorgensen
Would suck for continuity purposes...BUT, allows for significant cap space. Coupled with $$$ gained from player sales, in theory, the team could make some noise in Jan, but knowing our luck, they'll say, "we'll wait til July to make bigger moves".

With the new CBA upcoming, I don't expect much of anything to occur with respect to cuts or acquisitions. I think that is another reason ( aside from the obvious cheapo feeder club approach stance) that nothing was done this year. The threat of no season because of a strike is a real one.

With soccer still needing to grow in this country a strike would be an absolute disaster and the most foolish thing either side can do.

Really? Anything is possible, but I doubt this.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Armas out, Wolly in for starters.
I'd love nothing more to move on from Lade but that probably isn't happening especially if we get rid of Murillo.
I guess sell Long, Kaku, Murillo if the price is right, especially Murillo unless Wolly would like to move him up to outside mid or something.
Don't like Sims' price but who knows, probably goes back to England as soon as he possibly can.
Maybe move on from Parker? Forget his contract situation but if its not expiring I'd probably like to see him traded.
Rza could go but I'd like to keep him, Royer untouchable of course.
No idea if Cinci buy Etienne or not, fine with it either way I guess, although I'd love to see him coached by Wolly.
Sign: MLS quality outside back, there has to be some solid outside backs in MLS for trade. Attacking mid, defensive mid, and a striker if there is a good one available otherwise I'm fine with White, plays he role well.

Only guy that I could see them keeping is Jorgensen out of the 12 I listed above.

I agree w building around CCJ.
I dont agree on dumping anyone else you mentioned there because they all have value as depth pieces PROVIDED we sign some legit starters to push some/all of them to the bench.
And then of course theres the probability that some/all of them would want to leave if theyre pushed to the bench. Which...I mean okay next man from the academy up.

Im concerned about Kakus affect on the locker room. If hes cools playing for a new coach fine. If not, see ya.If we dump Armas, and I hope we do, Id rather we dont sell low on Kaku and Murillo.
If the new coach isnt going to play a full out press like Marsch and/or isnt going to play Murillo as an outside mid then Murillo needs to go. Hes given up way too many cheap goals.

I don't see any chance that Kaku is here next year, whether Armas is the manager, Woly, or Pep Guardiola. He doesn't want to be in the States for family reasons. He's definitely headed to Mexico, or back to a South American league.

I didn't say it was likely, but as the article says.... it is a real one. I've already seen instagram spots from some of Red Bull players supporting the union. Getting back to adding or cutting players, the labor agreement will have an impact on who comes or goes and what prices will be paid.
