The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

Did DeLaGarza not get into the game, or did he just not make an impression, or was it the game that didn't make an impression?

Bigs it is. I'll be there round same time.

Met up with Fredo here.
It was a big place and our server had big breasts. The TV's were small. The guys to our left were trying to talk to the server by "making bets" for her to settle. I didn't know that people did this in real life. My burger was good and Fredo is good company.
I'm trying to say positive things... Oh, well.
I don't think we were that bad. We controlled the midfield, but our forwards were really bad at sorting out their positioning and runs. I was looking forward to seeing Bruin but Agudelo kept running into his space. Johnson seems to be taking tips from Altidore on how to drift around in the box and play reactively rather than reading the play and making affirmative runs. I feel like Herc would have three goals tonight, or if DeRo were wearing our shirt, he would have had three. I think Gatt read those interviews were Klinsmann said that American players need to be willing to take on defenders.
On to Honduras. Do any of these guys even make the bench next week?

Omar and Belser looked pretty solid.
Inserting Brad Evans in the playmaking role was probably one of the more bizarre moves when Feilhaber is available on the bench. Evans was dropping so deep it looked as if we was playing alongside Beckerman rather than in front of him.
Or perhaps it was that dual dmid role thing that Klinnsmann favors... width from the outside backs, with no real wingers... blah, blah.
Shit doesn't work and I'm not a fan of it. Once actual wingers (Gatt & Bedoya) entered the game the field opened up. Canada stacked the middle of the park all game. They knew how the US was going to come out and try to play.
Relying on Morrow and Beltran for wide play was dead before it even got started.
I thought Beckerman was much more controlled and actually had a decent game. He wasn't running around and chasing the ball.
I'd say Gonzalez, Belser, Beckerman, Zusi, Feilhaber and Gatt make the plane to Honduras. Maybe EJ or Agudelo... but only because the team generally lacks forwards.

Liked his attitude, kind of player that defenders would easily get irate with and would draw yellow cards against them leading to free kicks.

VERY uninspiring, disillusioning performance...and leads to doubt about the Hex IMO, though I know it will be a quite different roster @ Honduras! At least, I HOPE so!
On a positive note, thought Josh Gatt & Benny Feilhaber deserve a call-up for the future, if not the Hex!

I agree.
P.S. Our waitress had big ones? How did I miss that?
