So who does he replace on the all time XI? Mathis, Gio, or JPA?
He's right in the same range with the goals per minute rates of our top strikers like JPA and Valencia (and Mathis when he was a pure striker), but still trailing Gio. He has a much better assist profile than JPA, already producing almost as many as JPA in about 1/3 of the minutes. If he scores close to 20 this year he'll move up the goal/minute rankings undoubtably.
If his leadership can get us to the promised land, then he will for sure deserve a place at the table.
I agree with Dan, too early to annoint him, though if we age adjust the stats it is pretty impressive, especially with the fact that there is no "Guevara" feeding him through balls.
One wonders how many he would be scoring if he was 26 or 27.
