Think we can get the Polish teams to come back into town?
On a side note... I still think that the Fire/Everton Scarf was the best scarf made. Good stuff.
Go Fire.

So what are the chances of the Fire hosting another international friendly. I know most of you aren't fans when Everton/Celtic roll into town but any opportunity to catch a match is fine by me.

I think Jagiellonia Bialystok would be a team to come from Poland, seeing as they were supposed to come last year, our connection with Frankowski, and that we just signed a player from them.
A rumor going around was that Manchester United might come to Chicago on the U.S. tour that they're supposed to have this summer, so they might be a potential opponent.

plus we already have scarfs!
"If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing."
"I don't approve of your methods."
"Yeah, well... you're not from Chicago."

I'd love to see them against a French or Dutch team, or really any team from a country that doesn't get over here too often.
but, realistically, that is what Playstation is for.

I have seen enough Fire friendlies against British, Mexican, and Polish teams.

i'll always want to see the Fire play a friendly against a French team but i know that the marketability is just not there. MAAAAAYBE if Rennes came over they could play up the fact that Bocanegra used to play for us but that's probably just not big enough of a draw.

wow, i didn't even think about that one. total lapse on my part there.
but that one definitely would not draw shit, even with baky. boulougne are a terrible team and will probably get relegated. honestly, marseille and lyon are probably the only remote possibilities in terms of french teams coming over to play friendlies but i don't think that there is enough interest for a french team to come to america, either from our side or from theirs.
i'd be down with some bundesliga love for sure though. bayern, dortmund, or whoever would be pretty sweet.
