i dont see why they would remove davis as captain. he seems like a no nonsense/influential guy on the team.  it could cause issues in the locker room.

 

davis also plays into the narrative/ poster boy image of the home grown kid who is now leading his home club team on the field.

Wouldn't Struber want to pick his own captain? Royer seems like the obvious pick but he might not be a lockdown starter

captain is usually an influential player on the team. if struber removes davis as captain, i dont see it being a current player. you would have to assume that the current guys on the team have respect for each other. i dont see how a current player will accept being captain and see davis get demoted.  it would have to be a new guy unless Davis gets transferred.

Trade a captain? I can't imagine it ...

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
