Jozy, Bradley... Howard wasn't drafted

For the rest of the league... Fred Adu, Wondo, Beckerman (Fusion dispersal draft), Besler, Dempsey, Edu, Omar Gonzalez, Eddie Johnson, Kamara, Zusi... anyone else?

Shalrie Joseph was drafted and eventually got a DP contract as well

Draft players who do well are stuck with a low wage for atleast 3 seasons.

If they have good seasons they are either sold to europe like Ream, leave on a free transfer like perry kitchen or receive DP tag like Besler.

Jack Harrison was a GA last season and made $160,500

Andre Blake is the first overall #1 MLS draft pick to make the Best XI.

Who was the lowest draft pick to make the Best XI?

Gotta be Wondo right? Selected in the 4th round of the 2005 Supplemental draft, so somewhere around the 89th overall pick.

Oddly enough, that 4th round of that 2005 Supplemental draft also included Dan Kennedy and Jeff Larentowicz, two guys who were arguably elite MLS players at some point in their career, and Dan Gargan who had a decent MLS career as well.

Jeff Parke was the last pick in the MLS Draft back in 2004. Changed his number to #60 to reflect it. He never made the best XI but was in the discussion a few times. Had a decade long career in MLS as well. He ended up getting capped by the USMNT too.

Its pretty funny that Jesse is not even attending the draft combine.  Though personally I dont think its that big of a deal

Think its a good move to get this experience.

Draft can easily be handled by Ali / Hammlete and Armas.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Wasn't it just a few years ago that we literally didn't even send anyone? Sounds like something Soler/Backe would do

Marsch won't be at the Combine because he is in Europe, huddling with RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg people.

Anthony Merced of empireofsoccer throws it out there:

"However, Stejskal did mention on Twitter that Salzburg head coach Oscar Garcia has been linked with several jobs away from the Red Bull global family. Whether that means Marsch is on the move to Europe is unknown."

Was it that we didn't send anyone or just that Backe/Soler weren't there?

Then in 2013 we sent Petke who hadn't been hired as the full time coach yet.

It's always something at the draft.

I think the only job that Marsch is truly leaving us for is if and when he gets the USMNT job.

I don't there's a chance RB is offering Marsch the Salzburg job, but if they ever did he'd have to take. Haven't all their recent coaches gone on to coach in the Bundesliga? As a coach you can't really pass on that kind of career trajectory.

But yea, he's much more likely to get an offer from US Soccer before a decent European job.
