Regarding the whole "no revote on Russia and Qatar" thing - my thought is, duh, not yet

Let all this play out, lets see who squeals and makes deals. This investigation is going to kick a lot of shit up and 2022 is a far way off.

Acting US Attorney for New York eastern district Kelly Currie warned this was the "beginning, not the end, of the investigation".

The US is only going after those in CONCACAF and COMEMBOL due to the fact that like others have mentioned these bribes have touched American soil in one way or the other (unless the DOJ can prove others have funneled money through the US then they can go after them but it's not likely they're that stupid). The Swiss, however, are investigating the actual bidding processes for 2018 and 2022. If anyone in Europe (*cough* Blatter *cough*) did anything illegal, then the EU will be involved and they'll be tried there. It sucks it took the United States and Switzerland to get involved in order for the house of cards to fall but such as life.

Sepp Blatter is FIFA teflon Don. My early prediction, he walks, and wins another term as FIFA president.

He'll absolutely walk, but I think they'll at least indict the guy (if enough evidence comes to light, of course).

as long as it stops? Numerous laberors have already died building the stadiums.

It's too late to apologize for this, the damage has been done.

Move the WC to a place that doesn't abuse human rights. Russia on the other hand gets a pass from me.

Damage has been done and everyone knows about it; but its still going on with a projected 3000 more to die.

It seems Philly fans have signed up on metrofanatic to vote for themselves (in 'What team do you hate more?') . No real fan of this team would vote anything other than DC.

Blatter might walk now but who knows if there other investigations going on outside the U.S. I would imagine today's events are part of a much broader investigation.

Was Prince Ali or whatever any better of a choice?

This is a pretty good article that answers both of those questions: http://www.bloomberg...p-blatter-fifa/

I didn't read the article but that zoom feature when you scroll over the picture of Blatter is fucking cool.
