What do you expect though? There are only so many variations of the red sleeves and armpits they can do before they have to try something different.

They could not change the jerseys every year or every other year then they won't be stuck doing this nonsense.

That's the stupidity of the league though, not the club. At least it's not like Europe where the jerseys get changed every season.

Adidas pays the money so they do whatever the fuck they want. It's nothing we can do as fans and it's definitely an "against modern football" complaint so it is what it is.

Actually, the jerseys are approved by each team. The problem here is that we don't have a marketing team to review the jersey properly. Has anyone seen the Orlando Jersey? It's gorgeous. Kansas City is another that has a stunning jersey.

My theory is that the front office is asking for white jerseys with red on them. They want the red pronounced but not overcoming the fizzy logo. Adidas has their templates so they break out a few options, show them off to DeGrandpre and he picks the one we end up with after a nice sales pitch explaining all the deep cultural meaning that it has.

I was surprised the comments on the MLS site were generally positive. Looks stupid to me.

I think it's actually not that bad with the grey lines. I didn't notice those before.

Looks like the 2013 jersey with some grey lines added.

Like that the logo is smaller (although not small enough  ;) )

yes surprised but the lack of hate

Have to give credit to the commentor who asked about getting a jersey with the new design with Dax on the back.  Yikes!

I hated it at first but now just think it is strange and very 80s.
