Classy guy. - Captain Dax will be missed.
Trade feels a 1 year early but with the depth behind him and Chicago after him since last summer.

Big shoes to fill for Davis and Adams.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

We're not signing anyone. We just ran out of funny money, aka Garber bucks, to pay down Sacha or Veron.

Fuck.

Yeah........use the GAM/TAM/allocation bucks to get the DP's off the books and with no DP's to pay for, instant savings for the redbull mothership.

Someone re-assure me I'm wrong, before I start typing "redbull out" crap

  • Interests:Red Bulls soccer, the joke is on us.

I hope Dax continues playing for many more years.  We will give him a warm Metro cheer.

As far as the RBNY GM is concerned, Ali is no Charlie Stillitano.  Ali seems to have a plan.

Brutal to see him go.

Is this really the best we could do?

Dax is an all time favorite of mine but I applaud management for having the stones to make a good business move that a lot of people are gonna hate on.

There were a few people (myself included) proposing letting him go earlier this year. On the business side it makes sense in a number of ways. Unfortunately it makes everyone's hearts hurt.

Timing was shit.

If he stayed around we all would have been bitching the entire season about how he needed to go and has lost a step.

Some of us (myself included) already started that last season.

Good move IMO.

Connor Lade was at Daxs wedding and seemed surprised by this by tweeting "wow :("

Leads me to believe it came as a surprise.

I agree that Lade was probably surprised.  Not sure how that confirms anything about Dax's knowledge.

We knew someone had to go from the middle of the park... was hoping it would be Felipe over Dax, more for personality than play.

He will be missed.

Felipe is still really young considering his experience. Unfortunately, I think Dax level is starting to drop. If wait a year, don't get nearly as much. I honestly thought Orlando was going to make a move for him to bring him back home.

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

They get the benefit of the doubt for the time being, but if all they have to show for themselves are more academy signings a month from now, I fully expect pitchforks and torches marching toward the gates of Red Bull Arena.

Who am I kidding, anyone who's been around long enough to be fed up with all the crap is too old and tired to cause any trouble, and most fans of recent vintage think everything the Austrians do is just swell. RED BULL SPONSORS MY BOY NADESHOT BRAH!
