I smell...the start of another glorious season!

I recently read one of Atlanta's chants is "This is Atlanta. You better watch your mouth!"  Mirror UK is calling it the worst chant they've ever heard.

For those of us going to game, are we thinking of any kind of signs or banners?  This lame chant is ripe for mockery.

Well, a few days after a big CCL game.  Thinking we mix in a guy or two.  I'll go with this:

-------Veron--Etienne

Royer-------------Sacha

--------Felipe-Davis

Taxi---DP--Collin--Murillo

Given how demanding the fullback position should be in this formation, I would probably swap out both fullbacks that play in Vancouver.  (which you may be doing if you think Bilyeu is starting Thursday). Besides that and maybe Grella/Muyl for Sacha or Royer we should roll with this lineup.

BWP not starting in game 3 of the season? No way Marsch does that.

Not really the kind of chant for the city that gave us the Tomahawk Chop.

Can't wait to read Metrofanatic article on our putrid record on opening day.

For 21 years, I can't remember ever winning the first game.

BWP not starting in game 3 of the season? No way Marsch does that.

Based on his history, you would expect Marsch to start his First XI, but he probably shouldn't given that it's the third game in 10 days and BWP is 31. It will be interesting to see if Marsch has made any adjustments this season to his style.

Last one I think was 2011 with Agudelo putting us up 1-0 over Seattle

Its the first three games of the season though, if any player can't start three games the very first week then something is very wrong.

Given that Jesse didn't think he was match fit enough to go 90 on Thursday and subbed him out leaving us with no target man on the pitch, I doubt he is fit enough to start 2 games in 3 days.  But that sub also could have been Jesse playing mad scientist

BWP is old, came to camp late, and has no real replacement if he were to go down with an injury. I'd err on the side of caution and use him as a sub.

This was actually my thought.  ANd I fully expect BWP to come off the bench, it was just done in an effort to not have him play so many minutes so early.  ESPECIALLY after coming into camp late and in not so great shape.

Key word is probably. Knowing Marsch's subbing tactics and adjustments in the last couple years I doubt he gives BWP any rest
