According to Bleacher Report, Tim Cahill has reached a tentative deal with Al Wahda.

Thanks for 2013.

Red Bulls only DP is BWP. My guess is that it stays that way. What a joke

Good luck to him, I say. But yeah, the lack of any sort of signings, DP or otherwise, is upsetting.

Bye Bye Timmy.  From MVP to Villain in one year.  Astonishing.  Now, go sell your brand in the Middle east.

I know. Losing Convey really hurts.

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

Maybe these moves are part of a ploy to make the books and the team look better than they should? Basically cut your payroll in half (Henry and Cahill) and say "we are selling a team that was a goal away from MLS cup." "We are selling a beautiful stadium in Harrison (that we never pay taxes on)." "Look we have a USL team! (that has yet to have any specifics announced and was created at the last possible minute)" "Look, we have a fully functioning development system! (as evidenced by Miazga's move)"

Regardless, Good luck Cahill.

What hurts is that acquiring a Convey clone would constitute arguably the most significant move of the offseason. Certainly top-two.

And with all due respect to BWP, who is a deserving DP, he is also a recycled DP, so it is not as if our DP signing has improved the team.

I think we're about to get our wish regarding Red Bull's ownership of the team.  Everything seems to be pointing that way.

Its geographically closer to home for him, which is good, because anytime he has a chance he's running off to Australia to play for the national team. He's an Australia all star. Red Bulls? Not so much. I'm more upset about Miazga for sure.

Being the pioneer that he is, here's hoping he can help increase their average attendance from 5,000 to 20,000 like he did here...

If this happens, will NYRB get a chuck of allocation money for the transfer from MLS?

He's under contract for one more season. They have to pay a transfer.

Thanks for 2103 Timmy!

I think this is best for everyone at this point.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I've been hearing the same thing every year since they bought the team.

No, they don't.  Players get released on free transfers all the time.   Ali Cunt will be happy just to dump the payroll.
