Any players worth poaching?

https://twitter.com/...416646764826647

sounds like they are headed to Europe to trial.

also, they say when your the top academy hard to keep everyone happy and lots of ways to go down.  They apparently are stacked at Forward - unlike us.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

If Mize didnt (rightfully) leave for Dortmund between him and Ngoma I'd be extremely pleased with the forward pipeline haha.

Hopefully they get pillaged.  Sean has been really good with recruitment to supplement our pipeline so hopefully he finds some gems there/anywhere.

Interesting summary of where our prospects are. Notable is the tempered expectations of Ngoma. I've gotten the sense some fans have placed pretty high hopes on his contributions in 2023.

Any of the resident youth rank gurus think this guy's on the mark?

Good right up
Think the guy is hedging his bets on Ngoma as he was at high level this season

Top 10 Prospects:

1. Nate Worth (07)-CM
2. Nick Morella (09)-CB
3. Illia Tykrus (05)-SS
4. Bento Estrela (06)-CM
5. Serge Ngoma (05)-RW
6. Aidan Stokes (08)-GK
7. Gil De Souza (08)-CM
8. Alan Rutkowski (06)-GK
9. Curtis Ofori (05)-LB
10. Pipeloore Olanrewaju (07)-CF

Not sure what that means

Salzburg has an american kid, evan cusik, that is 15 and has recently performed well in a friendly.

It would be nice if we can get him on loan until he turned 18-19 years old

Feel like we get dinged due to perception of high level talent we dont have. But frankly based on our consistent style of play / demands not many clubs translate prospects to first team players as well as we do. Creating elite attackers is tough cause a good team will have dps blocking their path to playing time. In some ways its more effective how weve been, with a lot of defenders and 6s thru system.

for those wondering the 4 players he mentions we lost i think he means Jack Mize, Jeremiah White, Gavin DeHart and Ed Davis.  Davis made the bench in USL before.  Will find out eventually if White/DeHart/Davis are actual misses

I definitely think he judges more on the prospect caliber than the ability to matriculate a prospect up the ladder personally I rate the ability to matriculate as more important than just having a ton of great prospects as you get into issues where kids leave because they dont see a quick enough pathway
