BINGO, but I'm pretty sure people will start to bring up the old idea of putting an NFL stadium in Chavez Ravine A LOT again.I sort of understand AEG. They are property and arena people, and they know the only way to make it work for the, is this way. The question is, how badly does NFL want LA and how badly does LA want AEG. The mayor, you can presume, is in AEG's pocket.
I doubt this is all over yet, and I don't think AEGs bid is done.

bounty-gate audio
Story: part of a documentary...
This speech is unbelievable. Telling players to hit someone in the head to see if he is truly over a concussion, and then talking about taking out Crabtree's ACL. I'm thinking that 1 year suspension is no where near enough for these scumbags.
A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man.

I was going to say no, then I watched the video. That guy isn't going to be coaching any level of football anytime soon

Heard an interesting topic on the radio yesterday discussing how severely Payton was banned as well. He cannot have any contact with the team (obviously), but also cannot have any contact with any NFL employees. This could preclude him from getting a temp job as a broadcaster/analyst on ESPN/CBS/etc as he would not be allowed to watch material owned by NFL Films or talk to any current coaches or players. The underlying theme was that the radio hosts were suspecting that Goddell knows something the public doesn't about how deep Payton's role was with this as well.
either that or Goodell is a dick.

I remember going to Raider games when they were in LA...
3/4 of the stadium was empty... Why? The team, despite winning a Super Bowl, buh-lew... As Angelenos, we are used to winning... The Lakers and Dodgers were amazing draws back in the 80s and there was simply no way the mediocre Raiders could compete...
The only way the NFL would succeed here in LA is having an instant Super Bowl contender here... No the Jags or Vikings... I'm talking about a contender... With stars on it... No potential retirees... A team that will quickly convert all the Oakland / Pittsburgh / NE / NY / Dallas fans who are NATIVE Angelenos into LA fans... Fuck Bears fans... We don't need 'em...
Personally, that's the only way I'll jump back on the LA NFL bandwagon... Gimme a winner, and I can guarantee you my kids will be lifelong fans of this LA ______ team...
