Where are folks on trading away vs investing minutes in Etienne's talent today?

i have tried to watch more MLS this year and their are several teams that could use someone like him in a more prominent role.

INCLUDING METRO!!!

It is pure agony watching this team shit on and waste his talent. Playing to not make mistakes is a function of knowing his minutes mostly belong to Alex Muyl, to the detriment of DE's development and the team. I think he's a potential allstar. So goddamn metro to sacrifice him for a wingback being shoehorned into a pressing winger for 3 years running now.

It was him. He almost scored from the same spot last game.

Etienne Jr. played like he was having fun again. No look passes, confidence, skilled moves, etc...
I havent seen that since his first couple years with NYRBII that earned him the HGP deal.

He plays too serious here, likely just trying to get minutes but absolutely head down and anxious. I dont think that helps his game.

He plays tighter with us, seemingly to not screw up and draw the ire of a coaching staff that values pressing from its wings over dynamic attacking play. Really sucks that even when he plays well he's going right back to the bench to make room for our pressing Mule. The minutes they each have played over the past 3 years is a damn indictment of Marsch and Armas. Do those former DMs not like his swag?

Hella frustrating to see an exciting homegrown answer to our attacking issues getting like 10 min a game for 3 seasons running now.

Is it possible that with consistent minutes Etienne's confidence and sharpness improve?? Couldn't be. They should try starting him, then putting him on ice for a few games.
