Rewatched a little of second half this morning and you can see why Barlow did so well in USL. He does an above average job of getting on the ball, but against MLS defenses he doesn't do much when he does. His decision making is a little slow and his passing isn't great. Those things are probably less of an issue a level down. If he can get better at those two things, he could be a valuable piece off the bench.
Honestly Stroud too (although there's still time for him). There was a play last night where he was 1v1 with a defender running into the box and tried to just dribble around him with a feint. That might work in the USL against 17 year old academy kids and 30 year olds who have never been able to crack an MLS lineup, but it's not going to work here. More optimistic on Stroud than Barlow though.
