needs a full year with the 2s looked good against some other mls academies playing rehab minutes with the 17s like bento best to patient with him. Stylistically he also kind of like a Kemar lawerence style left back not the best technically but a plus athlete. Hes one I have a hard time projecting tbh but definitely needs a full season of next proThere you go
You think Ofori can move to first team and play good amount time or need another year on the 2 due to injuries

And thanks for comparison
What do you do for left back ?
Any players from mls next pro that could step up ?
Any former academy players?
Whats Gutman up to besides hanging in Colorado

tough one have to shop outside the league I would think. Maybe Valencia can do a job as a backup if we are lucky and can keep Tolkin one more season. Bryce lebel is a cb who played some lb would be someone I want to see with or on a Jayden Reid type hg contract next year. Chris Tiao Rutgers guy is another one I wouldnt be against seeing with rb2 but no cant miss prospectThanks makes sense

We would likely need to bring someone in with experience if Tolkin leaves. Could keep Duncan, D. Nealis, or Harper out there but that shouldn't be the plan.
JC Cortez could be the answer in 3 years after college (UCLA).
Curtis Ofori played much further up the field with NYRBII this year before getting injured, likely learning the press a bit better. He put on some size this year, which was good to see.
Hopefully Cortez and Ofori are battling for that spot in a few years.
Omar Valencia had some really solid moments, but played far better with a 3 man backline (with the wingbacks). They may not be able to keep him here (loan ends and he played solid enough to ask for a higher price tag).
Jayden Reid couldn't get off the bench for NYRBII by the end of the season so I'd be shocked if he is here next year. Was not very good in his limited minutes.
Arian Recinos could be worth giving far more minutes to with NYRBII, but again a project.
Bryce LeBel was solid again for Louisville this year but played much more as a defensive midfielder. Chris Tiao did well with the other Red Bull academy contingent with Rutgers as a 5th year Senior. Amir Daley (Duke) and Connor Maurer (Stanford) are also defender/seniors with some NYRBII experience, but none of these guys are really left backs.
Former outside back standouts for the academy: Chris Gloster has flamed out with Europe, did ok with NYCFC and spent this year as part of the MLS players pool on loan to Atlanta 2. Noah Powder with a similar downward path. Kevin O'Toole is doing great with NYCFC playing left back against Messi earlier in the week. Still unreal that we didn't offer him a HGP deal after doing great with NYRBII in 2016 where we barely played academy players, then let him slide in the draft while we moved up and drafted Nocita.
Juan Castillo, Edgardo Rito, Yostin Salinas, etc... are doing well at left back for their new clubs but again, there is a valid reason they are no longer here.

Hard to see Lesesne going that way, based on his roster choices down the stretch

Barlow starting every match next year with the way Lesesne glowingly talks about him.
Nobody thinks this not even lessened and Barlow

I'm sure no one thought this going into this year either, but here we are.

Valencia - they have good idea if he can hack it or grow into it - even if price increase
Would be great if tolkin gets sold with 6 month loan back until Olympics
