Allegedly, Yearwood will be given a game or two off to regain fitness?

Im not sure the guy has been fit since hes been here

Last year he went from not playing for Brentford, to playing for their B team, and then was injured/had a long layoff of matches when he signed for RBNY

This year he got injured in preseason and has never really gotten up to speed because of it

So instead of being on the bench yesterday, he was out running sprints?

That comment by Struber about Yearwood blows my mind.

It's not like we were forcing him into the lineup to play 90 minutes every week though, they eased him back in really slowly. And he's been pretty much healthy since then right? Just really strange to hear this sort of comment more than halfway through the season.

Its alarming either way you look at it, but hes been both unfit and not a fit

Seems like there are other issues besides cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness.

Weird. Yearwood's currently a U22 player, and that ends at the end of this season, since he turns 22 in Feb '22. He was one of Thelwell's first signings.

you can occupy a U22 slot until you are 25 as long as original contract was signed while you qualify.  Moving him to there from DP slot was smart to open up DP slot we wont use

Why would we sell him now, when we can't replace him?

if the coach isnt going to use him i think we are more likely to get a good fee for him in the summer compared to in the winter.  Personally i would use him but Struber has his own ideas.  Cant let the asset rot on the bench if anyone is interested

What defendyourself said. I should caveat that I wouldn't personally do it, and am likely reading to far into it (hence the tin foil hat), but its just so god damn strange to sit a guy several games for fitness halfway through the season when he's been healthy that some alarm bells are going off in the back of my head that something is amiss.

Quite possible that they're working out a deal to get him to a team that is a better fit somewhere. Who knows. It would screw with team depth, but frees up an int'l slot for '22.

Thanks for that detail re U22 deals.
