L.A. Galaxy vs Colorado Rapids
Saturday October 16, 2010
The HDC
7:30 PM

The plan is all coming together for Bruce and the boys. They have earned maximum points in 4 out of the last 5 matches. Timely goals and clean sheets are returning. A partnership has been renewed in the backline. Players are returning from injury to make contributions. Confidence is flowing like The Force from Ricketts in the back through Omar and Juninho and all the way up top to our man Buddle.

If the G's can play well once more on Saturday, then they will have gauranteed themselves homefield advantage throughout the playoffs and have won The coveted Supporters' Shield.

Colorado is in the playoffs and will prove a tough foe. Casey, Cummings, Larentowicz, and Kandji all will put extreme pressure on our defenses. We must hold together as a unit and as a team.

But, we have come too far and gotten too close to falter now. Our Captain will lead us and the team will follow.

Can't wait to join LARS again in 138 :)

Hopefully I'll bring the G's more luck, this time round.

Win this game and get:
  • the Supporters Shield
  • the Western Conference Trophy
  • a guaranteed spot in the CONCACAF Champions League
  • the homefield advantage throughout the playoffs

It would also allow for some "send off minutes" for the retiring player(s) v Dallas.

The preview and that ETZ provided pic = awesomeness...

The attacking trio of Casey-Cummings-Kandji will provide an interesting test for the backline and more specifically, the AJ-Omar centerback combo...

I expected a rested LD to emerge from his restrained performances in recent weeks, with all guns blazing...

If you're not creepin', you're not trying...

This will somehow become a giant clusterfuck next year... So, needless to say, meh...

G's should win this one... A screening of last year's MLS Cup would be unbelievably motivating... "So close, so friggin' close youse guys."

And the ETZ MS Paint pic... It's brahwsome!
Lakers (16x Champs) Dodgers (6x Champs) Galaxy (4x Champs) Broncos (2x Champs) LA Kings (2012 Stanley Cup Champs)
USMNT (One day, one day...)
Budlight (Weekend Champ)

It doesn't matter how simplistic you make your point, there will be someone who misunderstands you.

Just so we're not in the Islanders' group this time; getting ass-raped by those guys two years in a row would just be depressing.

There's noise about a real reserve league next year. That should really help for the extra competitions. Hopefully the new salary structure will allow the G's to improve the rank and file on the team. Homegrown is emerging as the best way to do this, along with recruiting the key players away from the Islanders.

Omar Cummings will drop a pearl necklace on us if we are not careful in the back.

With that said Landon with 2 and we win 2-0.

I'm going to feel really good about our chances of lifting mls cup if we can shut out the rapids. their type of speedy, direct, attack is exactly what hurts us the most. pitch invasion when we win the shield?

...ooooh ooooooooh we are the riot squad...
