Barlow - 9 apps, no goals or assists
White - 5 apps, no goals or assists
Jorgensen - 3 apps, no goals or assists

Surely Barlow is finished getting starts? Not sure how the front office (Thelwell, Hamlett, Armas) thinks the club can win games with strikers that statistically do nothing.

He could have had a tap-in last night,
if he had not been 10-15 yards behind the play.
Someone squeezed a roller in from the left.
It rolled right across the goal, no one there.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Second consecutive game hes done that. Hes showing some potential. Would like to see him start instead of come off bench

I like Big Tom B., but when that early cross slid past him right in front of goal and he didn't even stick a foot out for it I wanted to punch him through the TV.  He's not lazy, he just doesn;t seem to have a striker's instincts.

Yea, thought the same on that play.  For a guy that does seem to work really, really hard, he's lacking that little bit of instinct and/or desire.

When will a striker score?
When Tetteh is unleashed

UNLEASH THE TETTEH!!!!!!!!!!

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Yeah, Barlow doesn't seem to have MLS level skills. At the USL level, he seems to be perfectly fine, prob even better than that. He scored with relative ease at that level. I thought by this point, he fills a need on the roster as a big post up guy. But his passing once he receives the ball is below avg and it seems he isn't thinking quickly enough to dump the ball to a teammate, one to four touches too many it seems.

My prediction is Jorg scores the first goal given he's probably going to get to start soon.  If not, Tetteh is the easy bet.

This is something that stuck out to me across the board against DC. We don't have anyone out there who really looks hungry to score. Nobody has that 'animal with prey in their sights' instinct to a ball played in a perfect position to score from. I'm not sure you can really teach that either.

That was Jorgey who actually made that cross. He gets only a few mins every game and doesnt look any worse than Barlow. Yet he is 5-6 years younger, not even 20 yet. Time to give the guy some more mins. Barlow wont get any better. Jorgey may.

So does the firing the coach boost result in a Barlow hat trick and Tetteh brace?

nah just a brace of tap ins not on go (ok I know this is harsh as Royer had a tough height/speed cross and Barlow just feel so bad for the guy.

Unleash the Tetteh already.

thanks metrofanatic for putting it into context!!

THE WORST GOALSCORING DROUGHTS IN METRO HISTORY
Did you realize you're watching history unfold?

still say - Unleash the Tetteh.

he last played 7/28 (and scored) so shouldn't be that out of shape although maybe he took most of Aug off and need to get back into top Unleashing shape.
