The field of 40* is set for The 2011 U.S. Open Cup. 32 teams from the lower divisions play in Rounds 1-2. The surviving 8 clubs will join 8 MLS clubs in Round 3 (Round of 16).

RBNY has qualified for the Round of 16 and could potentially play against one of the New York-based lower division clubs. FC New York, Brooklyn Italians and the New York Pancyprian-Freedoms have all qualified for Round 1 of the U.S. Open Cup.

Without any of our local MLS rivals (DC, Philly, Revs are out), who would you like to play in the Round of 16?

They haven't created a bracket yet, but here's who's in:

MLS (Enters in Round of 16)
Chicago Fire
Columbus Crew
FC Dallas
Los Angeles Galaxy
New York Red Bulls
Real Salt Lake
Seattle Sounders FC
Sporting Kansas City

USL Pro League
Charleston Battery
Charlotte Eagles
Dayton Dutch Lions
Harrisburg City Islanders
Los Angeles Blues
F.C. New York
Orlando City
Pittsburgh Riverhounds
Richmond Kickers
Rochester Rhinos
Wilmington Hammerheads

Premier Development League
Carolina Dynamo
Central Florida Kraze
Chicago Fire Premier
Chivas El Paso Patriots
Kitsap Pumas or Portland Timbers U23's* (Not sure which of these clubs qualified)
Reading United
Real Colorado Foxes
Ventura County Fusion
Western Mass Pioneers

National Premier Soccer League
Brooklyn Italians
Chattanooga FC
Hollywood United Hitmen
Madison 56ers

USASA
A.A.C. Eagles
Doxa Italia
DV8 Defenders
Iowa Menace
ASC New Stars
New York Pancyprian-Freedoms
Phoenix SC
Regals FC

Love for us to play a local team. Or extract revenge against Harrisburg City Islanders.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

only reason we lose that game is cause we'd be slowed down by having to wear socks...

Or they'd throw a former major league outfielder into goal and he would literally throw the ball into our goal.

only reason we lose that game is cause we'd be slowed down by having to wear socks...

I agree 100 %... I think its kinda obvious now that were not going to win the supporters shield. Lets go and try to win this thing. I would think that a US OPEN CUP final at RBA will be close to a sell out. It would be for our first ever trophy.

My worst Open Cup memories:
- losing in the final at home to Chicago 1-0
- losing to the Staten Island Vipers. It's pretty sad when your best player is Billy Walsh

Kansas City won the cup in 2004?!?:
