Don't they have airspace restrictions on flights over the city still? Even if they don't I thought that smaller aircrafts needed to be 2-3k feet above the tallest building.

Something ain't right.

You could quite possibly and most likely be shot down flying where this was.
a. It really was a chopper... they fly over the rivers like LA durring a black out.
b. The plane was in distress.
c. and most unlikely... terrorist attack.

Conflicting reports coming out of all sorts of camps... wheather plane or chopper now. Either way fuel has spilled after the crash and the ground is on fire as well. FDR ramps being closed, so they shutting down the area.

From my viewpoint no way that's a chopper.

Superedit:
FAA called.... fixed wing aircraft.

www.myfoxny.com supposedly is streaming live. I haven't got it to work yet.

That's not the Beasties fault. The Beasties still kick it kind of old school. No one does it like them.

Yes, old men "rapping" about "kicking it" and "being ill" isn't like anybody else.

Drawn and quartered, I say.

Oh and, I threw on CNN at work so that I can watch. Interesting stuff.

I still have film footage in my house from getting in a small plane about a week or two before 9/11 and flying around Manhattan. WTC and Statue of Liberty on display prominently in the film. I will need to pull that out at some point.

I don't think it was a terrorist attack, but I do question what happened. A plane in distress is going to try and go down in the river not in the middle of the city. Granted, maybe that is what they were trying. I hate when we don't get enough details.

A new report is showing that the aircraft when down as a result of a masturbation contest on board that got out of control.

It's right next to the FDR. If they're having a problem with the stabalizers, especially on a T tail (not saying it had one... faa hasn't released actual make yet) it could have stalled... in which case with any weight your gonna have a lot of problems ditching safely.

FBI has two terror squads on scene just in case... odds of this being terrorism is slim. Freak accident.

Maybe the pilot was busy accidentally blowing a passenger.

Maybe the pilot was busy accidentally blowing a passenger.

If it was a taxi-like airline service, this could be a real possibility.

Good points, Also from the one pic on CNN you can see how close they were to the river (visually for my sake) it makes its seem more like an accident at this time.

MSNBC said that the plane hit the 20th floor, but that the building only has apts on the 22nd to 50th floors...hopefully, this will just be some damage to a building and no casualities.

Other than the masturbating pilot...of course.

And now I'm going to hell too

People already trapped. Fire on ground from fuel spill as well. It would be a miracle if someone didn't die. Besides pilot who's looking like ....

Posted Image

Now I'm going to hell.

Quick Update: President Bush was notified officially of the crash. He will make an announcement after he finishes Hop on Pop.

T, you need to get your facts straight. Either the pilot was
a) involved in a group masturbation contest
or
b) accidentally blowing his passenger

It isn't possible that he was yanking it for no reason. :P
