Thought I'd add this, to stop cluttering up the front page with story links. I'll update here as we go. I may still add live game coverage to the relevant threads, but hope this helps keep things together.
Anyway, the weekly fan previews for the weekend games are up today. Tim Hall (View from 101) did the preview for New York.
Week 2 - Fan preview
And I'll be doing a live minute by minute commentary for the RSL game tomorrow night. If you're not out watching the game somewhere and are following it online, maybe consider keeping a tab open beside the Metrofanatic one and throw me a tweet @KidWeil or e-mail the link on the page during game time with your thoughts.
On Monday we'll have a "5 things we learnt article..." written by myself and Joe Prince-Wright. Here's a link to last week's one, with some discussion of Dallas game:
Five things we learned in Week 1
And many many thanks to those who've commented, tweeted or linked to the coverage - and of course Dan, Brent, Dave and Tim who've been quoted so far... Hope to hear from more of you as the season progresses.

I got this one, you keep writing Mr Parker, you have done an excellent job so far!
Here ya go all, he gives the why in an earlier post. I follow this mans writing with some interest, solid stuff IMO.

EDIT:
P.S. I agree with your assessment of Menace's contribution. How he could write all that and in the subtext clear as crystal you can almost hear him saying "*sigh* Fucking Metro, at high altitude? Is this even a question?"

Wow I feel bad for the folks in Chicago if they put all their hope on Dom Oduro.

Sorry, I think I'll be avoiding analysis from the press when it comes to RBNY, including the entire mlssoccer.com website, until I start to see something worth investing my spare time from this team. It's just really depressing right now.

Five things we learned this weekend - Graham Parker/Joe Prince-Wright
Not a lot of New York in this one - seeing as I covered the live game at the weekend. But for completion's sake...

The guy from PID army- what a thorough analysis. I guess there really is oxygen deficiency at altitude.
I used to have a couple of funny things here but I can no longer find them.

I have to say in Todd's defense, I found out yesterday that he has 9 month old triplets who presumably tag team sleep duty. The fact that he got it together to hit send is award-worthy. Personally I'd just text '3' to anyone who asked me for...anything.

If you like English football- there is nothing better than The Fiver from the Guardian. Tea-time email (5pm their time) that's about as funny as it comes. Been a daily staple for as long as I can remember.

Montreal guy gave a fairly professional analysis. The Dan guy for NYRB however, is slightly above the PID guy from last week.
But, watch out for Braun- he eats us alive.
