We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Nice! Can someone cut & paste it?
Much like apostrophes, my C&P seems to have vanished.

Looks like the City of Orlando, but not Orlando City, was willing to report actual turnstile counts.

Robles ... discouraged about the empty stadium
2:48-3:45 on the video.
I thought that he might reference the CL crowds versus the MLS crowd. 46k in Guadalajara, 23k at RBA on a frigid Tuesday*, perhaps 5k for Montreal on a perfect Saturday afternoon.
He is right about the stadium, right about the team. We have one of the best home records in MLS.
*15-20k were Chivas fans. Is it better to be cursed at by 20,000, than cheered by 5k?
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

If you go to the ESPN New York homepage, there is a large, full page ad that pops up for tickets for the game tomorrow.

Just saw that. Pretty sad to be honest.

We don't sell out but our attendance isn't anywhere abysmal enough to warrant moving. We were 8th in the league last year. There's a bunch of teams that would gladly take our attendance.as of right now, there's 1300+ seats on stubhub for this game. There's also pretty much the entire top half of the stadium open via Ticketmaster (i.e. not resale tickets, but directly from the team). If we can't sell out a game vs the Blue team on a warm 70 degree Saturday afternoon, I don't want to hear any bitching when they move the team to Austin to take on the Crew in the new Austin Derby.
People just don't care all that much about the MLS in this area and the new factor of nycfc has worn off and has shown in their attendance as well.

Robles ... discouraged about the empty stadium
New LAFC stadium looked packed & rocking last night in its opening match. Dramatic last minute winner sent the crowd home happy. Meanwhile, LAG had a typical late-arriving crowd on Saturday night, but also seemed near capacity.
We mock Philly, but its dwindling crowds still seem far larger than ours.
DC will probably pack its new house, despite the acrimony between the SGs & its FO.
Meanwhile, we hope for 15K against our derby rival, at 2 PM on a spring Saturday.
Along with Columbus & NE, we are original franchises that seem left behind in the MLS excitement race.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

our attendance isn't ... abysmal ... 8th
I know this is DH stuff, but attendance is abysmal. Just look around. Upstairs mostly empty, downstairs hall-full outside of the SW. The announced numbers are fully cooked. Tickets Distributed is as unreliable as Facebook confirms. No one will release or leak the turnstile counts. If they did, someone would be out there scanning thousands of duplicate tickets. A reporter could count the crowd, for most games:

Abysmal to me would be less than 5k which isn't something we get unless it's an open cup or champions league game.I know this is DH stuff, but attendance is abysmal. Just look around. Our attendance isn't that bad, it's just rather average.

IMO crowds are closer to 5k than 16k.
