This  Gulbransvenjurgenborg guy certainly passes the all-important eye test, and worked his butt off for the few minutes he was out there (maybe he was just trying to keep warm). The potential of him and Royer having a big impact this year gives me hope against the bus-parkers.       I'm going to go out on a limb as say Veron's gone in July unless he takes a massive pay cut, which may be reasonable given the state of things for him back home.  (isn't that when is contract would be up?   Isn't his transfer fee paid off against the cap by then?)

The league never disclosed Veron's actual contract terms, but I can't imagine it would expire mid-season. When Grant Wahl originally dropped the news, he cited a 5 year contract with 3 guaranteed, my guess is that 2017 counts as the third year. So there's no getting rid of him this summer unless another team buys him (unlikely) or Red Bull buys out his contract (not gonna happen).

I'd also guess that they would have paid the $2M transfer fee by the end of this year, can't imagine MLS wants a scenario where we no longer have a player on the roster but we're still paying fees to his old team.

Odd feel to the season so far with us catching breaks and holding on to leads.

I don't know if it's the fluidity of the 4-2-2-2 or that using that and a 4-2-3-1/-4-3-3 at times, but I like the different looks over the course of the game.

And Marsch seems to be a lot more flexible this season, early subs, small tactil changes...

Rare for this team to even get a win on the road considering how bad they were on it last year.

dead horse stuff, I know... but the announced attendance of 19,375 is just silly.

Really? That's surprisingly high considering the opponent. If the weather would have been better we probably could have drawn 20k. In any case, that's a lo of no shows. But who knows how many of those "sold" tickets belonged to RB itself.

Why not just declare that the game was a sell-out?

I'd be surprised if the actual turnstile count was 5k.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Seriously. I brought a group of 12 up to 228 and we didn't have anyone within 10 rows of us.

congrats to Luis on his consecutive appearance record

What happens to his streak if he is called in USMNT duty and missed RSL game?

Does he get a buy or does that break the streak?

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

He does not get a bye.
