Villa is currently in a playoff spot, and leads the second tier in attendance, but losing 9 points would end its current dreams of a return to EPL glory and riches:

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I love the totally stupid and illogical result of FFP (An incredibly dumb idea BTW): Teams that are losing money are punished with points deductions, which lead to them getting relegated, which leads to revenue falling, which leads to teams losing even more money. And don't forget that FFP is essentially a way for the cartel at the top of big European leagues to prevent other clubs from challenging them by making it impossible for them from spending enough to compete with them.
Let's Go Buffalo!!!
