Colombian reporter who covers the Sounders is saying that we are actively looking to sign 21-year-old Colombian centerback Cesar Haydar, who is on loan in the Colombian top flight from Red Bull Bragantino

In theory fills the andres reyes high upside young cb role that he vacated by moving into the everyday starter category

 Nice
Seems to be starter / in rotation for mid table Colombian team
good young depth who is left footed

Paging milo?

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Damn, we aren't messing around. Probably the most impressed I've been with player acquisition since the move to moneyball.

Just goes to show how pathetic those two windows with Hamlet at the helm felt like.

The more I see on Twitter from south American accounts, this seems pretty imminent. Not real clear if it's to us, but he seems to be getting sold.

Appears he was bought for roughly 2 mill in 2020 so he has value too.

as long as we have an option to buy with the loan this is the ideal profile i want.  but without a buy option not sure honestly.  But left footed CB is something we have needed for a long time if we ever want to attempt to play more vertically but in control.

Not very experienced...

14 games / 13 starts for Junior last year, but barely played for Bragantino (3 games / 1 start in 2 years).

3,700 pro minutes in total, which is a little more than Dylan Nealis.

Hope this goes better than Monzon, pointless if hes going to be buried behind a non CB in DNealis.

Still would be worried if either Reyes or Nealis went down.

curious how he compared to Reyes at that age

but from a quick check of transfermkt seems to have gained less playing time.  but then again this guy was at Bragantino which has been quite successful the last couple years and probably had people on lock.

I think it is a good move.

He's one of their bench players. He plays sparingly throughout the season... I doubt the times I seen Junior play he's been on the pitch...

They can do better... I'd rather they go after Mantilla that plays for Santa Fe
I just want Metro to win a title sometime in my lifetime.
