For those of you who like the marketing end of MLS, here's a good article on the good and the bad of MLS team rebrands:

Interesting point on New England, that they planned on changing the name of the team but found out that the fans liked it and wanted to keep it.  At the same time, there was agreement that the flag logo had to go.

 

Food for thought for when RBNY, inevitably, rebrands.  Metropolitan SC, Hudson River FC, Inter NY/NJ United FC, Sporting Harrison?  (maybe this should go immediately to Dead Horse)

The crayon flag logo was a million times more authentic than the fake Yur-Peeeeeeeen knockoff names and badges that keep getting pushed by clueless morons as "authentic". It's nothing more than sad and pathetic cosplay.
