Watching some highlights on Cosgrove the guy can score and I mean he can score in any sort of way. Sure some of his goals are from the spot but he reminds a lot of Jozy Altidore, has the pace and strength for sure and a target for goal. We really couldn't go wrong giving Cosgrove one of our dp spots. I believe he'll definitely bolster our attacking options this year. I'd love to see Jorgensen or Barlow play off him. His transfermarket might say 570k but if we want to buy him he's going to cost over 2 million dollars and there's a track record of Mcinnes and Aberdeen not liking to sell in the winter months as we saw when GMS was linked to nycfc last winter and didn't come until the summer. I think it'll take Red bulls about 3/3.5 million dollars for a fee and a contract between 500k-1million dollars to get the man. You can't forget Cosgrove was linked to Lazio over the summer. I think this will be really good business from red bulls if we get this deal done. Still a bit to work on we need an outside back preferably on the right side now for depth unless we can count on duncan being healthy for a full season. We also need another cm/cdm in there to compete with the current crop and a winger but that looks to be josh sims thankfully coming back.

I can’t say I’m surprised that Armas and DH are staying. At first last season I was hopeful in the early mid season we would see them be getting the axe at the end of the season heck I even initially campaigned for it but I've gotten smarter these past few months. I’ve taken the positives and the negatives of Chris armas and Denis Hamlett and what their vision of this club is and what they happen to be trying to do. Not a lot of people like what they’re doing. I have understood each move they've made and their reasoning behind it, it's not like these guys don't know soccer. I’ve pretty much accepted that I won’t see this club win an mls cup or us open cup in my lifetime and I’m young unless Red Bull either change the way they conduct business and improvise, adapt, or innovate the mls team or Red Bull sells and we get a fresh new ownership group, name and they bring a jolt of energy into the club and also adapt, improvise or innovate in the mls game. Anyway I’ll be here for the ride next year no matter what, who’s with me?

Listen, Adams didn't have a bad game, and the stats do indicate that. The problem is that he is expected to be team MVP, being dangerous, creating chances, and this simply didn't happen last night. Was he top five on the team - absolutely. Was he team MVP - not even close. He basically put together a Dax like performance, while we need him to be a Sacha two years ago. And we really need him to step up to that level to have a chance to be successful this year.
Wow, slow down here and stop jumping up and down like a cock. It seems you have challenge intellectually to grasp a basic concept, if above post is any indication. Let me spell it out for you since you obviously need this. We have an 19 year old, who was already playing like a team MVP at the end of last year. Because of his youth has a higher ceiling of any starters and can improve more rapidly than others. He was also the only player on the team to be called up for NT just recently and everyone knows he will not be with the RB much longer, precisely because of his abilities. So yeah, I absolutely expect him to improve from last year, where he was already better than anyone on the team for last quarter of the season. Whether he can be a beast like Sacha was two years back remains to be seen. I said we will need that type of performance from him (or perhaps Kaku, who is also not much older) in order to be successful. Surely only a complete fool can think that because he is young he can't be a top player on the team - just look at USMNT and Pulicic.
You do realize he's not really used as an attacking player right? He actually reminds me a lot more of a dax rather than sacha but even a younger/much more talented version of connor lade could be a fair comparison. All being said I think he will improve yet again this season and I don't have any reason to not believe that, I just hope we can hold onto him as long as we can.

Please let this be true, and if we can bank on kljestan with minnesota entering the picuture. This could mark the start of the red bulls being ambitious and adapting to the rising transfer fee's mls is seeing.

Lol @ dilly duka. I see your strategy!
Be strategic so we dont play Atlanta in a one-off.

Apparently Hamlett is with RB Brazil this week. I guess Salzburg ran out of expendable players?
I hope he's looking in other places. Though some lower tier clubs in Brazil do produce hidden talented players, it's rare. Just look at how Getterson ended up for fc dallas 4 games and out of the league.

Eh, in 2015 maybe. But in 2016 can you really say Grella played better? Or even Muyl? Muyl adds a different dimension, so I won't argue against him. But was Grella really so great down the stretch of 2016 he had to be playing 80+ minutes a game after Royer was hurt? Especially knowing now that Mike was probably carrying an injury for much of that time?
Mike has earned his minutes and should play more than Veron. Doesn't mean Gonzalo shouldn't be given a block a decent block of time on the wing, while he is still here.
I agree but for the past two seasons well since he's arrived it seems Jesse hasn't rotated the squad all that much other than for an injury or if somebody has dreadful form at a point.

Because it was time to move on from him a long time ago.
Why are we calling for Murillo over Perrinelle? Didn't think Perrinelle did anything particularly wrong against Philly.
Perrinelle's career ended when he tore his acl against dc in the 1st leg of the 2015 eastern conference semi's

Think he means look at the teams that have new coachs that might be looking to get the team shaped in their image, so like RSL, maybe Minnesota, and Galaxy. But honestly what do any of those have to offer? Didn't Andrew Farrell play CB for New England? Kraft is a cheap ass offer him all of the Garber bucks for him.
Farrell is more of a right back, was god awful when he played in the center of the pitch. He's quality though at rb and maybe he's another option for us in the future at that position. Alright if we're talking rsl a guy like Aaron Maund might be an option as he's never really been able to break 25+ games but has shown promise there, Minnesota is a little harder but if there's anybody I'd think about buying from them it would be Brent Kallman, and the la galaxy either Romney or Steres could be options. Thinking about it if we could move Veron anywhere in the league, i'd go out and talk to chicago about picking up David Accam and give him that extension considering he's been a stud in Chicago since 2015.
