To my esteemed, future, beer-swilling brethren:

My brothers, 3 friends, and I are rolling out to the G's vs. the Goats on July 10th to join LARS of Misfits' "We are 138" fame . . . I hear that there is tailgating in Lot 13? Any suggestions to a group of HB guys looking to be a part of LARS?!?!

BTW - Little background: I went to WC '06, another guy with us went to WC '02 & we are currently looking for an old VW Westfalia to ship to Cape Town for us to caravan about So. Africa for WC '10.

See you on July 10th!!!

Mahalo.

Welcome. Yes! We meet, drink and tailgate in Lot 13 usually before and after games.

It is POSSIBLE however that for the July 10th game we may be in a different more secure spot. I advise you to check in again on the boards in the Events & Trips forum to see what is cooking in the days before the match.

Chivas games are pretty crazy - Just so you know.

I was going to rent a VW van in Germany in 06, but they required you to rent it for the whole Summer.

Me and Scott (Andric on the boards) wound up with a VW Station wagon instead. Only slept in it once though.

Don't know that I'd do that in SA.

I got a lead on a maroon pop top '72 Westfalia. Apparently no smogging is needed for it due to age...maybe DirtyDefender knows more about that than I. I'll get photos and phone number and a price.

True - there's only one Green Goblin.

But its in Amsterdam now.

We need another bus to crank Led Zepplin tunes out of, roll left handed cigarettes in, etc.

Thanks for the westy info, but we are looking for something much rougher that we can get on the cheap since it'll be nearly $1000 to ship it to SA. I am looking forward to July 10 & officially rioting with the squad!

Do you plan on shipping it back, or are you going to leave it there?

Here's one for $1,500. With another 1k of repairs to make her road worthy and $1,500 for shipping, between 6 guys, that's $750 a piece.

Bonus: It's pea green!
