* Players who are at least 23 years old, have a minimum of three years of MLS experience, and whose options were not exercised by their clubs (available at option salary for 2013).
* Players who are at least 25 years old, have a minimum of four years of MLS experience, were out of contract, and whose club did not offer them a contract at their previous salary (available at 2012 salary).
* Players who are at least 30 years old, have a minimum of eight years of MLS experience, were out of contract, and whose club did not wish to re-sign them (available for at least 105 percent of their 2012 salary).
LeToux is over 25, has 4 years of MLS experience, is out of contract, which means... we have offered him a contract at the previous salary. Smart. Sign and trade him to the Worms, as opposed to losing him for free.

Lots of guys on that list I wouldn't mind picking up.
You mean like Juan Pablo Angel? I'll take him for league minimum.

First of all he is finished as a player. Second of all, do you really think that he will play for the league minimum?

I know that and agree with you. Though some folks around here with JPA crushes may want to relive the glory days.

What the hell has happened to Marvel Wynne?
All athleticism and no skill, he's the kind of player that MLS is leaving in the dust as the quality of play continues to grow.

CHV Alvarez
CLB Mendes
SEA Burch
CHI Dube
COL Husidic
LA Boyens
NE Simms
COL Freeman
LA Noonan
So, one starter (Simms), three part-time starters (Mendes, Burch, Freeman), one washed-up Metro killer (Noonan), and Andy Boyens.

We were probably better off going after Ward as a back up RB and not even bothering with the kimura trade

Segares is a shell of his old self. He's not that good any more. He used to be one of my favorite LB's but now he's not worth the salary. He was never formidable on the defensive end anyway.Very few if any will be taken in the first round. Segares can be had for 215k...which is a bit too much. He's be an excellent addition if he can be had in the low 100s
