A thought I wanted to share, but Robles has been poor on the last 3 goals given up (2 vs Van, 1 vs NYC). I know Parker caught most of the blame for the marking on Watson on those 2 corners vs Van, but if you watch the replay on those goals Robles is off in no-man's land leaving the goal completely open. And then last night, yeesh. He's got to get down quick enough to get a hand on that.
A couple more thoughts:
- We used to say "Villa's in Miazga's pocket, Perrinelle's Pocket, etc."....but he's made Long look bad in 2 of the last 3 matches at Yankee Stadium. Turning him inside out on the game winner last summer, and Long basically forgetting Villa's on the field on the goal last night and leaving him more or less unobstructed to receive the knock down from the NYC Norwegian guy and move towards goal.
- Why did Armas take so long to make all of his subs? I have no issue with who he put in (wouldn't have minded seeing White get a shot), but why is he waiting till the 91st minute to make his last sub????
- I would prefer to see Kutler as the 2nd RB when Murillo isn't available. I love Lade, he's one of our own, but I think Kutler offers a more complete game and I think we could've used his attacking skills on the right wing last night (especially given how much the attack was focused on the right wing in the 2nd half)
- Heard this while listening to the match on Red Bulls Radio last night and thought it was worthwhile sharing on here, but we haven't won at Yankee Stadium since the 7-0 match.
