Less than 2 weeks before the match. That's MLS for you.

I am traveling to these 2 games out west and am relieved it at least doesnt affect my travel plans. Hopefully that is the case for everyone else making the trip. Id imagine most making the trip are also going to Portland, so it should be inconsequential to the traveling contingent.

ESPN+ blacks out local teams, so, in theory, MSG should pick this up.

We seriously need espn+ for this? Absolute fucking bullshit. MSG should be able to air the games. I'll find a stream somewhere instead. What a joke.
Im sure MSG would take it if they could. Not like they even send the announcers out for road games. Instead theyll get to air a re-run of a 94 Knicks documentary while ESPN jerks around the fans.

Just checked MSG schedule, they have a Bundesliga re-run at 6, and horse racing (the same show) on both overflow channels. We should be ok.
(That being said, might be for the best if we miss this one...)

NFL also flexes shit teams out during the second half of the season, on as little as 12 days' notice. We are irrelevant to the point our match at Seattle has been moved from ESPN at 3:30 to 6pm and now on ESPN+ (you will need a subscription) on Sunday, September 15th.

This is an indictment of NYRB's performance, not MLS.

Agreed, although I think the part really getting peoples goat is that its being moved to a subscription service, rather than the time. At least with the NFL, you just get flexed to CBS or FOX. Hopefully, MSG picks up the game and at least appeases those in the NY market.

MLS site says MSG.
Would be nice to know what plans for our last 2 home games are.
Right now both are msg games and cant really imagine there is national interest in either game (although dc is maybe a farewell Rooney opp?)
Do we know how flexible the scheduling is? I assume its just same day, or is this like premier league when game can go anywhere on weekend?

12:30 local time is pretty early. Assume Seattle was happy to push this later?

If you look at the schedule around the league on the days of those 2 games, there are lots of games featuring 2 playoff/playoff contending teams. Id say odds are that were not getting flexed to national tv/different time slot.
The games should not get flexed to a different day, to the best of my knowledge. The Premier League typically flexes games to different days due to schedule congestion with all of the different competitions (League Cup, FA Cup, etc). Schedule congestion obviously wont be an issue here.

Theyll probably blow them both out and take all the points.Who cares? This Team is only going to shit their pants and get their asses handed to them on this PNW trip!
Then theyll squeak into the playoffs.
THEN....Then and only then...will they will shit their pants...in epic fashion.

Yeah, I'm assuming it will be on MSG. There's the free streaming website which has been good all year as well (I know, not ideal).Agreed, although I think the part really getting peoples goat is that its being moved to a subscription service, rather than the time.
